STEP YOUR WAY TO 100 MILES
Increasing the amount you walk is not only good for your physical health, but also benefits your mental health. Taking on a 100 mile walking challenge, either individually or as part of a team, is the perfect way to challenge yourself to create better habits whilst also raising money to break the cycle of homelessness.
You can tailor your challenge to best suit your goals. Take a look at some of our suggestions below.

2.5 MILES A DAY
Do you struggle to get your daily steps in? Set yourself a consistency challenge and aim to complete 2.5 miles every day for 40 days to reach your 100 mile goal.
This could be taking the dog out for a 45 minute walk every day, or using your smart phone or fitness watch to track at least 6000 steps every day.
10 X 10
Looking for more of an endurance challenge? Set a goal of completing 10 x 10 mile walks throughout the 40 days. It takes on average two to three hours to complete a 10 mile walk at a normal pace, so track your progress each time to see how your time improves.
TEAM HIKE BUILDER
The perfect challenge for a team of five. Split the mileage amongst your team and aim to complete 20 miles each over three progressively more challenging hikes together across 40 days. Start with a three mile hike, then make your second a six mile hike, and finally cheer each other on as you complete your challenge with the ultimate 11 mile hike.
