Put a gift under the Tree of Kindness

This year we are installing five Trees of Kindness – Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Dundee, and London

We are asking you to donate a gift to someone experiencing homelessness and bring it to one of our Trees of Kindness. We will then distribute tens of thousands of gifts in Scotland and throughout the UK to homeless people, families, and children. See our gift wishlist and tree locations below:

The Tree of Kindness how–to…

Do:

  • Choose a gift from our wishlist on the right
  • Donate your gift in a gift bag – please don’t seal the bag
  • Include a hand-written message of kindness for the recipient
  • Add a note to the gift detailing the type of gift and the intended recipient (man / woman / children / boy / girl / either) so that we can arrange distribution to the right beneficiaries

Don’t

  • Wrap gifts
  • Give second-hand donations
  • Give alcohol
  • Provide home-baking or donate food items
  • Drop off your gift out with advertised opening times for the trees

For security reasons, we need to be able to see exactly what your donated gift is. It also helps us match it up with the right recipient.

We do not have the capacity to wash, sort, and distribute second-hand items. Please do not bring these types of donations to our trees of kindness.
